Autumnal Jervaulx Abbey Walk

Enjoy an autumnal gentle walk at an amiable pace from Jervaulx abbey and along the river Ure to enjoy the seasonal colours as the trees, hedgerows and countryside get ready for their winter slumber in one last act of glorious colour.
There will be rest stops along the way to enjoy the peace and tranquility. We'll have a mid morning tea/coffee break (if you’ve brought some) by the river.
The route is 8 miles and fairly flat.
This is for those who enjoy a steady walk, taking time to enjoy the scenery, the wildlife, and the company they’re with, making conversation and friends, laughing and getting the mental health benefits of being outdoors in good company, rather than walking off at a fast pace to get back to where they started as soon as possible.
Dogs are welcome on this walk but MUST be kept on a lead where there is livestock in fields.
Hopefully the famous tea rooms with their delicious selection of tantalising mouthwatering treats will be open to allow for a perfect finish to an enjoyable walk.
