London has lots of green spaces: 'the lungs of the city' - you won't find another walk in South London with as much greenery.

Starting out by crossing Wimbledon Park with the famous tennis club never far from sight and passing the big lake, we will head up onto Wimbledon Common. Points of interest include a windmill, an ancient and moody pond, and remains of a hill fort with connections to Roman times.

After crossing the busy A3 at Kingston Vale we will set course to cross the 2-mile expanse of Richmond Park, no doubt spotting the many deer that inhabit the open space.

Finally, we drop down to the Thames to walk along the riverside before finishing with a drink on either the green or the riverside whilst watching the boats.
