Fairly steep paths up through the forest. May be slippery under foot.

Join us for an afternoon walk along the river or through the forest in Betws y Coed before the North Wales Social on the same evening.

Betws y Coed, known as the Gateway to Snowdonia, is a pretty village in the Conwy Valley, on the banks of the river with impressive forests rising up the valley sides in all directions. It's no surprise that the Victorians built a railway station here to come and enjoy its beauty.

We will meet in the village itself, from where we will set off on an easy-moderate afternoon walk, either along the river or up to Llyn Elsi. Llyn Elsi is a reservoir situated on the hill above Betws y coed, providing water for the village.

We will aim to drop back down into Betws y Coed for around 6pm, with a view to heading to the social together at The Stable Bar for food and drinks: https://www.outdoorlads.com/events/north-wales-autumn-social-211127

It is likely to be dark as we end the walk, so please bring a torch.
