A hilly walk with over 400m total ascent

Join Nelly's Hill Fort Walk exploring West Dorset South starting at Pilsden Pen and then we will explore the surrounding farm land and hunt down a famous Dorset Unicorn.

7 - 8 mile walk.

Pilsden is another Iron Age hill Fort that dominates the West Dorset Countryside with far reaching views, you can see Golden Cap to the South with the sea behind.

Pilsdon has a long history with Flint tools over 10,000 years old and Bronze Age burial mounds, that shows the site was in use long before the hill fort was built.

Pilsdon Pen was abandoned after the Roman conquest, then mainly used for sheep grazing, as it is today.
