Join me in a small group for a nice long 18 mile hike in the beautiful M25 borders ! It's hard to believe that nestled right next to the M25, and only 30ish mins from London by train, you can find such beautiful walking.

Note that we will need to set a good pace of around 3 mile/hour over to cover the distance in good time with the shorter days - so please keep this in mind when signing up.

Hopefully this time of year of the leaves will be starting to turn and we should be rewarded with color as the plentiful woodlands put on their yearly show.

We'll head off east towards Westerham, a pretty market town where Churchill used to drop in to buy his Sunday papers (not verified ... but he did use to live at nearby Chartwell ... which explains his statue on the village green).

From Westerham we head south east and ascend Toy's Hill, an extensive woodland owned by the National Trust.  From here there are great views over the Weald in the distance.

Toy's Hill marks the farthest reach of our walk - we now turn back west and take a directish route back towards Oxted following along the Greensand Ridge, admiring the views of some of the lucky houses perched on the ridge.

Time permitting we might drop into the Carpenter's Arms, about an hour outside of Oxted, to try some brews from the local Westerham Brewery.
