The MCR Games is a series of weekly challenges in Manchester throughout the November lockdown. The challenges will all take place in or near Manchester city centre. As there will be prizes involved (!!!) we're charging a small entry fee for PAYG Members.

Each challenge is completely stand-alone, so you don't need to have entered other week's challenges to take part in this one. You can book on to and take part in the challenge any time throughout the week.

Week 1: 50 Windows of Creativity (walk)

Week 2: Castlefield - Media City loop (run)

Week 3: GPS Art (walk)

Week 4: Inner ring road time trial (cycle)

Week 4 (Mon 30th Nov - Sun 6th Dec) - Inner Ring Road Time Trial

Hopefully the last week of the national lockdown. Why not finish with something a bit more intense!? You'll enjoy (in a type 2 enjoyment sort of way) a cycle ride around the city of Manchester. One thing I like about Strava is that it records 'moving time,' which pauses your time when stuck at traffic lights, so there's no reason to to risk running a red light for the sake of a good time.

Unfortunately for cyclists, horses, learners and mopeds, part of the inner ring-road is a Motorway. The route planned will take you south of the motorway. This part may be the best start/finish point, as it's probably the quietest part of the route.

The Challenge: Using Strava (or similar) cycle the route below in the fastest time possible (whilst fully obeying the highway code).

Challenge ends Sunday 6th December 18:30 with a Zoom call to chat about the challenge and congratulate the winner! Joining details sent out on the day.

Submit your time and username on the spreadsheet below!

Good luck, and ride safely!
