Join us for fun session on the water at an action packed fresh water lake.
Spring Lakes offers lots of options for fun on the water, fresh water swimming, wake boarding, paddle boarding and an AquaPark inflatable assault course on the water with a range of inflatable slides, climbing walls and a variety of obstacles including an epic swing to catapult yourself off!
CRUCIAL! After signing up to this ODL event, you need to book your place on the Spring Lakes website in advance to avoid disappointment. There’ll be time for a couple of activities and we suggest you book one or both sessions
1. Stand up paddle boarding at 11:00. The cost is £26 plus additional costs of £5 to hire an adult wetsuit. Please read more details about paddle boarding and book the ticket through Spring Lakes - Paddle Boarding. This session is 1 hour long with 45 minutes boarding around the lakes.
There’s time for a cuppa or a quick lunch between sessions.
2. Aqua Park Assault Course at 13:00. The cost is £25 plus additional costs of £5 to hire and adult wetsuit. The session is an hour long with time on two different assault courses. Please read more details about the session and book the ticket through Spring Lakes - Aqua Park.
Of course, this is still an outstandingly beautiful area for a walk, abundant with birdlife, including shovelers, wigeon, goldeneyes and teal. We will have lunch in the cafe afterwards or maybe local pub.
NOTE: The activities offered through this event are developed and run by a third party (Spring Lakes), and the OutdoorLads leaders do not purport to be professional water sports leaders. Moreover, the cancellation policy of Spring Lakes applies to any activity booked via the Spring Lakes website, over which Outdoorlads has no control.
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement
You MUST complete a Participation Statement, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.

What to bring
You should wear a swimming shorts on the Lake. If it is a sunny day and you do not plan on wearing a wetsuit (which are available at the centre) then the centre suggest you wear a light t-shirt to cover your shoulders (but if you want show off your body that's also fine). It's also recommend you wear waterproof suncream to protect yourself from the sun.
You are also required the fill out a waiver, this can be done on the day but to save time you can find it here https://waiver.roller.app/springlakeswatersportsandleisure/
I would suggest you take a towel, and some dry clothes to change into afterwards. Changing rooms and showers are available onsite if you want to freshen up after going in the lake.
Small cage lockers are available at the centre, however these may be limited during busy periods. Please bring a padlock with you or alternatively you can purchase a padlock from reception for £3.
Trainers are suitable footwear for the walking element of this event.
Bringing Your Own SUP?
If you plan to bring your own Stand-Up Paddleboard, you can pay the launch fee (instead of the above) - this is £15 for 2 hours on the water. However you must also bring a lifejacket or you will need to pay the price including hire. Of course, don't forget your paddle!

You might want to bring a bottle of water and some light snacks. However there is a great cafe at the watersports centre with a range of drinks and food.
