This walk starts from Lyndey Station (The National Rail one and not the Dean Forest Railway) and from here we follow the Lydney Canal down to the docks.   We'll then follow the cliff path along the Severn until we reach Purton where remains of the Rail bridge across the Severn can be seen.  Here we turn in land and start the gentle climb to Primrose Hill and then the view point over Lydney and the Severn, before we head back via the Recreation Trust Ground and the boating lake to take us back to the cars.

Dogs will be welcome on the walk but will need to be kept under control
