Join Will & Jon for a fortnight of cycling LEJOG, a cycle tour of the UK from Lands End to John O’Groats.  The whole route will take 14 days (plus 2 days travelling) covering 1000 miles so join for as much or as little as you can face!  The trip is organised as day events, allowing you to sign up to whatever days you fancy, booking your own transport and accommodation according to your budget.

DAY FIVE - Worcester to Stoke

We will be trundling directly north today following National Cycle Route No. 54 through Kidderminster, skirting Wolverhampton, through Stafford and ending in Stoke.

The total distance will be 127km with 580m of ascent.  The route can be downloaded from here.

Today will be broken up by a optional trip to National Trust's Wightwick Manor, a Victorian masterpiece and one of my favourite NT mansions as I'm a fan of William Morris.

Wednesday 8th July accommodation suggestions in Stoke:

  • plenty to choose from including a Premier Inn and Travelodge.
  • Premier Inn (Hanley) - Will & Jon have booked into here

Keep costs down by getting twin rooms and sharing.
