Liverpool has been a UNESCO City of Music since 2015, and so to coincide with the annual musical jamboree that is Eurovision arriving in the city, this mid-week (Wednesday) walk will take a trip around some of the city's musical highlights and heritage.

From Merseybeat to Frankie Goes to Hollywood to the Philharmonic Orchestra, Liverpool's music scene is rich and diverse, and this walk will offer a taster of what the city has to offer.  When Liverpool was announced as the Eurovision Host City, the winning bid also promised a 'Find Sonia' trail featuring cardboard cut outs of the scouse songstress so we will be trying very hard to incorporate that if possible!

In total the walk will be about 5 miles and the plan is to end at the Eurovision Village by the Pier Head.

This walk is part of a series of events that Outdoorlads have planned for Eurovision week, including a 'Queer History' walk on the Friday (more details here: Eurovision week- Queer history | OutdoorLads).  There's also a theatre trip on the Wednesday evening (more details here:Eurovision Week - A Thong for Europe | OutdoorLads)
