Canal Walk to Hebden's 'Wild West' Steampunk festival

This is a four mile level canal tow path walk through heritage urban landscapes overlooking beautiful countryside. The walk begins and ends at train stations. The walk ends at Hebden Bridge train station and from there is an optional visit to the Steampunk Festival. Entry to the festival is free.

What is STEAMPUNK? Steampunk is a sub genre of science fiction or science fantasy that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. Steampunk works are often set in an alternative history of the 19th century’s British Victorian era or the American “Wild West”.
Make a weekend of it: Leeds Pride is the next day. Outdoorlads will have a 'walking float' at this free festival. Leeds has a range of hotels including budget hotels such as the Comfort Inn, Easy hotel and rooms over the Wrens pub.

What to bring
Sturdy walking shoes ideally or trainers , don't bring your Saturday night trainers as they will get muddy. Bring your waterproofs in case there is rain.
Food & drink
Bring water and snacks. There is an optional visit to the Steampunk Festival after the walk which has food stalls.
