Enjoy a walk along the coast from Bognor Regis to Angmering. The coast along this stretch changes widely from completely natural SSI areas (Climping sand dunes) to the hustle and bustle of busy seaside towns (Littlehampton and Bognor Regis).
We will start from base camp and walk directly to Angmering Station to catch the 11.06am train to Bognor.
We will have plenty of options to get lunch at Bognor and then we can head to the coast and start our walk through this busy seaside town. Past the famous Butlins Holiday park, We pass through the quiet Felpham until we reach Middleton on sea with it's swathes of private estates, so we may need to walk on the coast line.
After Middleton, the coast opens up and becomes less urban and more natural, with sand dunes being a place of special scientific interest, and also an unofficial home for nudist bathing. We will stop here of lunch and if the weather and the tides are in our favour a dip in the sea. If you are not a confident swimmer please don't go too far!
After lunch we will continue to the River Arun and walk north with views of Littlehampton teaming with happy holiday makers on the other side. We get to a foot bridge and over and back down the other busier side. In good weather this should be fairly busy. We pass the new "turd" cafe, the reason for the nickname should be apparent when we get here.
We are now on the home stretch passing some very large "Millionaire" houses at Rustington, on to East Preston and back inland to get back to base camp and a well earned sit down.
