Brewery and Live Music

This is one of the events organised as part of BIG Summer Camp 2019.

Petworth to Langham Brewery Leisurely walk

OutdoorLads guys can visit Langham’s Brewery for leisure day in a brewery, trying their amazing craft ales along with live music throughout the afternoon.

On the day we will have at least 10 fabulous real ales up and 3 local ciders, plus a selection of other refreshments.

Delicious food – tasty hog roast and a BBQ with veggie options

This event will mean that we will be getting to Petworth by bus (taking around an hour and half) before a short 5 mile walk across South Down National Park, then calling in at the brewery charity fun day, which is in aid of the South Downs Way "Mend Our Way" initiative conserving our beautiful landscape for everyone forever. You can read about this great cause here.

We will have about 3 to 4 hours within the brewery before making our return journey from the end of the lane by bus.

I suggest we buy a one-day bus pass for the cheapest travel option - details below.

OutdoorLads have been involved with Langham’s for over 5 years now and several members have become good friends.  We've had some fab fun and extremely memorable brewery tours together. They are even supplying the beer on the bar back at Worthing Rugby Club for us!

The Live at langham’s is a free event; all drinks, food will need to be paid for by cash.

We would also like to encourage you to donate on the day to the South Downs National Park if you can. Their suggested donation is £10 per person, but this is entirely optional.

Getting there & Costs

Due to the location of the rugby club and Langham’s there’s no easy way to start our day.

We will need to walk from the rugby club to Angmering station, hop on a train to Worthing then take Bus No 1 to Petworth for start of the walk

  • Total journey will be around 1-hour 57min before heading on a 5 mile walk across to the brewery.
  • Bus departs from Worthing at 11.05 and arrives at Petworth at 12.15
  • Departs from Midhurst at 17.40 and arrives at Worthing at 19.02
  • Then train back to Angmering
  • Train & Bus Costs £13.30
