BSC2022: Mine Exploration (Sat AM)

This is one of the events organised as part of Big Spring Camp 2022.

Come underground on a voyage of discovery into a hidden world under a Welsh mountain. These disused mine passages, tunnels and caverns are testament to slate extraction activities here over a hundred years ago. Over time, rocks have fallen, roofs have collapsed and water has reclaimed parts of these labyrinths.

This activity involves a walk to the mine, going underground with helmets, torches and harnesses on. There'll be zip wires, clip lines, abseils and climbs. The mines are packed full of history and artefacts. Overall a full adventure and lots of fun.
