Why not start your Big Weekend with an early morning exercise? A group of members will be heading to Conwy Parkrun on Saturday morning to take part in the free 5km running alongside the River Conwy. Following the event we will get you back to the campsite for 10:30 at the latest so you will be able to combine this event with a late morning/ afternoon event if you wish.
Conwy Parkrun is a free 5k run that takes place on Saturday at 9am just a 20-25 minute drive from the campsite. The event starts at the RSPB Nature Reserve in Conwy, running along the banks of the River Conwy with great views onto the castle. This is not a race and is aimed at runners of all abilities where the focus is firmly on having fun and supporting each other. The course is flat on a mixture of tarmac and gravel paths so trainers will be suitable.
You may already be a Parkrun attendee, but if not it's free to register (please register before you run and bring along your barcode) and then you will able to run this nationally-held weekly event when you get back home.
We will aim to meet at 8.00am and leave from 8:15.
What to bring
You just need your usual running kit, appropriate for the weather, and possibly warmer clothes to wear on the journey to and from the start.
Food & drink
Bring some water and a snack for afterwards.
