The Big Climate Fightback! Avoncliff Tree Planting

Trees are warriors in the battle against climate change.
They absorb carbon, fight flooding, reduce pollution, nurture wildlife and make landscapes more resilient.
Help us fight for the future of the planet by being one in a million pledging to plant a tree.
The Woodland Trust is leading The Big Climate Fightback. Take part in one of our tree planting events taking place across the country on 30 November 2019 during National Tree Week, buy a tree to plant yourself at home or make a donation so we can plant one for you.
Reducing our carbon emissions will never be enough. It’s vital we grow a UK-wide patchwork of trees and woods – not just by planting, but also through natural regeneration. The woods, hedges and green spaces we create buffer existing habitats, tackle climate change and reverse wildlife decline – all at the same time.
The time to act is now. We need one million people to join the Big Climate Fightback. Because #EveryTreeCounts
OutdoorLads is getting involved and want to send a team to help out. If you're coming along, it'll be great if you could wear your ODL branded gear (red t-shirt etc.).
If you're going to the Outdoorlads Big South Christmas Weekend, this event is about a 30 min drive away.

What to bring
It'll be muddy, probably cold and a bit wet. Wellington Boots would be suitable for when planting on the site but thick sole boots are fine.
Bring waterproofs, hat, gloves.
Food & drink
Bring snacks and lunch but we should be finishing early afternoon.
Drinks, including a hot flask, is recommended.
