Join us for a day's trad climbing in the Wye valley, one of the most beautiful bits of limestone in the UK. There are loads of incredible routes starting around S/HS.  The event is only suitable for experienced outdoor climbers.

The exact choice of venue will be weather dependent, but likely one of the cliffs around Woodcroft in the South Wye Valley (details will be communicated out to all attendees as soon as reasonably possible)

To attend this event you must be competent at least seconding trad climbs (3+ events where the leader has placed gear, this does not include sport climbing. preferably with Outdoorlads) and be competent with lead belaying. If you are unsure whether you have the appropriate experience please send me a message.

The number of spaces is dependent on the experience of attendees and trad racks, so if the event is full, please join the waitlist and I will endeavour to increase capacity.

If there is wet weather the event may be cancelled, but hopefully we can find some alternative activity to entertain us.

If you wish to make a weekend of it, please book your own accommodation (sooner rather than later for the bank holiday weekend!) I will be camping at:

I'll be staying in south wales for the following week, mainly climbing, so please send me a message if you'd like to join. Might do more climbing or paddle boarding or something else on the bank holiday Monday (non-OutdoorLads).

You MUST complete a Participation Statementin addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.

Please note that every person participating should be aware of (and accept) that those members perceived as ‘in charge’ or leading the event are not necessarily qualified, do not need to be qualified, and are not regarded by OutdoorLads, or themselves as ‘technical experts’ but are amateur climbers with some experience and who are happy to impart their knowledge. Any advice given should be considered with this in mind by the recipient.
