18 miles (29 km) with 1228m of ascent

For the first of our two day hill-walks over the Easter weekend we will tackle the five Munros on the White Mounth Plateau, the finest of which is Lochnagar (1155m) with its spectactular north-facing corrie. Other summits include Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach (1118m), Carn an t-Sagairt Mor (1047m), Cairn Bannoch (1012m) and Broad Cairn (998m) - a total distance of 18 miles (29 km) to complete the circuit.

The walk is not technically difficult, but the terrain is quite exposed and does involve some scrambling over boulders on the slope up onto the summit plateau. A reasonable level of fitness and stamina is required for this walk and you should bear in mind that although Easter is quite late this year, we may still experience winter conditions at higher levels.

Why not make a weekend of it and join us for a walk up Glas Tulaichean and Carn an Righ on Easter Sunday?
