Visible from the A6068 near Cowling are Lunds Tower and Wainman's Pinnacle on Earl Crag. We leave Sutton in Craven and walk up to Lunds Tower via Crag Farm. When we get to the tower you can go inside for a view across Airedale. We make our way down to Cowling and then through to Glusburn following the Holme Beck.  Lund's Tower is a folly built in 1887, commissioned by James Lund, it has multiple names and ideas why it was built. Wainman's Pinnacle was built in 1898 as a Napoleonic War memorial. They are known locally as the 'Salt and Pepper Pots'.

Lund's Tower is very narrow and dark inside, not designed for tall people with rucksacks.
