Part of the #BigBang Event series

Come and join us for a Summer day walk to brush as part of OutdoorLads #BackWithABang series in Oxford around one of the cities most iconic area of Port Meadow. For over 4,000 years this ancient land has been used for grazing, ploughing and farming.

It's said that in Port Meadow was given to the freemen of Oxford in defence of the country from the Danes in the 10th century and has remained a centrepiece in Oxford history every since.

The walk is a pleasant, flat day walk which should take us around 5-6 hours including a trip to a local pub. From the station, we'll walk up the canal to the Meadows then towards Wytham Great wood and Farmoor reserve.

This walk is perfect for those of any ability! We look forward to seeing you on what should be a brilliant Summers walk!
