Join Rich for this classic north wales road ride.
We will start in the sleepy village of Y Felinheli on the banks of the menai straights. We then climb up out of Y Felinheli and head east through Tregarth and into Bethesda. From here we do our first big climb of the day up to Ogwen Cottage. As it flattens out in the stunning Ogwen valley we cycle past Cwm Idwal and the magnificet Tryfan. We now head to caple curig and then turn west to enjoy the views of the Snowdon Horseshoe. after the fast descent into Bedgellert we will stop for tea and cake!!!.
Now for the second big climb... We climb up out of the valley and head though Rhyd Du twards Caenarfon and back to Y Felinheli and a quick pint/bite to eat in the pub at the end.

What to bring
You will need a proper road bike (mountain/hybrid bikes will be too slow for this length of ride), along with spares such as in inner tube and pump/CO2.
Remember to dress for the weather, the wind often whips down the valleys so an extra layer is always a good idea...
Food & drink
Please bring enough food and drink for a 75k ride.
2 Bottles and a few energy gels/bars is what Im planning on taking.
We will stop in a cafe on route for cake and coffee, so bring some wonga!
