Scandinavian Spring in the Yorkshire Dales - 3 nights

THIS EVENT IS FOR THREE NIGHTS OVER THE FIRST MAY BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND.
Forget (May) pole dancing and men prancing with jingly bells; come for an adventurous long weekend in glorious Karst country in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales for three nights in Ingleton.
So much to see, so much to do,and somewhere completely different: NOT in a draughty old hostel, but a modern scandinavian timber lodge with underfloor heating and a sauna!
We will be accommodated in the largest single storey lodge on a wooded parkland site just half a mile from the picturesque village of Ingleton.
There are opportunities not only to hike the close-by famous "Three Peaks Challenge" of Whernside (736m), Ingleborough (724m) and Pen-y-Ghent (694m) (led by Jason) (Whernside & Ingleborough one day as they are close together and Pen-y-Ghent the second day), but also less challenging walks in the surrounding Dales and Karst (limestone paving) or the "Waterfalls Trail" along the Rivers Twiss & Doe just above the Village (www.ingletonwaterfallstrail.co.uk)
How about visiting spectacular Limestone Caves (https://whitescarcave.co.uk), Indoor Climbing (info@inglesport.com) or even an open-air heated swimming pool?
There are dozens of great road and off-road cycle routes to explore in the area and even a free BMX pump track in the village.
You can marvel at the famous engineering wonder of Ribblehead Viaduct and, being a bank holiday weekend, there could be a crossing of a steam train on the Carlisle/Settle railway line.
Ingleton itself is a popular visitor attraction in its own right with plenty of atmospheric old pubs, shops and tea rooms; and Malham is only just over the other side of Ingleborough.
As usual you will be well fed with breakfasts and evening meals all included and after a long envigorating day out on the hills & dales no doubt the sauna will be very popular!!!
