Walking around a Museum

Nestled within Pollok Country Park The Burrell Collections is one of Glasgow's most Iconic Attractions.  Opened in 1983 the museum has recently undergone a £68.25 million refurbishment.  Containing over 9,000 objects, the Burrell contains an important collection of medieval art including stained glass and tapestries, oak furniture, medieval weapons and armourIslamic art, artefacts from ancient Egypt and ChinaImpressionist works by Degas and Cézannemodern sculpture and a host of other artefacts from around the world, all collected by Burrell.[3] Paintings from five centuries and artworks spanning six millennia are found in the collection.

We'll take our time exploring all that the museum has to offer.  We can perhaps take a break and visit the restaurant for some lunch before continuing our tour.

Entry is Free of Charge though parking is chargeable.  There is good public transport to the main gate and a Free Shuttle bus to the museum.
