We're going back again to the quiet and quaint village of Robin Hoods Bay!! With the North Sea sprawling out in front, and the towering cliffs of the bay separating us from those blue waters, this is favourite among many members. Come and join us and explore the beautiful North Yorkshire Coastline.

Robin Hoods Bay is a small fishing village, surrounded by cliffs, 8km south of Whitby. The village, which consists of a maze of tiny streets, has a tradition of smuggling and there is reputed to be a network of subterranean passageways linking the houses. The village lies at the end of Wainwright's Coast to Coast path and there is fantastic walking country throughout the local area. The village has a wealth of interesting pubs, shops and restaurants.

Despite being on the coast, Robin Hoods Bay lies within the wild, windswept, and wonderful North York Moors National Park. Comprising over 1400 miles of natural beauty, this enchanting region is home to heather moorland, pine forests, rolling hills and shimmering coastline, not to mention badgers, roe deer, red squirrels and hawks.

There will be a nice long coastal walk to Ravenscar along the beach and back along the cliff tops. This maybe changed depending on tidal time. We will have a nice rest stop at boggles hole along the way.
If this is not for you I'm sure they will be a shorter walk or you are more than welcome to enjoy the coast and lovely village.
