5 mile flat walk along the canal

Join Barry and Michael for a Sunday morning stroll along the canal from Salford Quays to Castlefield. The walk will begin at the Lowry Centre and go along the canal until we arrive at The Wharf in Castlefield. We will stop for a break and a drink at The Wharf before returning along the same route back to The Lowry.

We should be back at The Lowry for 1.30pm - 1.45pm. We've then booked a table for Sunday lunch (or anything else you like) at The Botanist from 1.45pm. We have booked a table for 12 people, assuming that everyone on the walk does stay for lunch afterwards (but you don't have to).

The walk is relatively flat but there are some bridges to go up and over as we get in and out of Castlefield. The canal tow path is usually quite clear but, depending on whether conditions, could be wet and slightly muddy in places. The walk is around 5 miles.

This will be Michael's assessment so Barry will be observing with a clipboard!

The walk is dog friendly but The Botanist is only dog friendly on the outdoor terrace and at the bar, so will not be suitable for dogs as we are in the main restaurant.
