Two gradual climbs 7.5 miles just over 12km

Join Steven for an easier slower paced 7.5 mile / 12km hike in the far northeast of the North York Moors National Park.

The route explores quiet pastures, woodlands and heather moors. There will be far reaching views with an impressive perspective of the Cleveland Hills to the southwest and the Pennines beyond.

The historic Captain Cook's Monument is visited at the high point on Easby Moor. Here the group will pause for food and drink. Not too far away in this area is Roseberry Topping, its 320m summit rising above ancient oak woodland.

So please come along and squeeze a little hike in before the New Year celebrations. This is ideal for those less used to hill walking and those who prefer a gentler pace.
