Mid-Week Evening Walk in East Yorkshire
4 people attending
16 places left
This is a relatively short circular walk, 6km (3.75 miles) taking around 1 and a half hours. We start and finish in the town of Pocklington. We will walk from the town up through Pocklington Woods. We will then cross the golf course and head towards the Madhyamaka Kadampa Medidation Centre, located in an idyllic setting overlooking two small lakes. We'll then descend down to the largest lake and continue back to Pocklington through Spring Wood.
This should bring us back to the town in less than 2 hours. Anyone wishing to grab a drink or food at a local pub after the walk.
Well behaved dogs are welcome on this walk.
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement
You MUST complete a Participation Statement, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.

What to bring
- Walking Boots - if it's been raining recently, there are significant parts of the walk that will get very muddy (see the photos...they were taken in February) so trainers, etc. would not be suitable!
- Socks
- Walking Trousers (I always recommend these, even on short walks near civilisation, just in case you get rained on or end up on unexpected muddy stretches)
- Base Layer (optional)
- Fleece/jumper
- Waterproof Trousers (optional)
- Waterproof Jacket (always useful given the unreliability of the British weather!)
- Hat (optional)
- Gloves (optional)
- Day sack (optional)
Food & drink
Food & Water (optional - this will only be a short walk with opportunities to buy food at the beginning and the end of the walk from shops or pubs if you want): e.g. locations of Coop, Aldi, Sainsburys
