Following the waterways of the industrial revolution this walk provides a mix of industrial urban landscapes, open greenbelt and nature reserves. The walk is 15.5km, pretty flat and even includes a pub stop on the way. We'll head out from the City Centre using only towpaths and bridleways to reach Didsbury where we'll return to the start using the Metrolink tram.
What to bring
Boots: A decent pair of waterproof hiking boots are essential, although the canal towpaths are straightforward it may be boggy in places.

Layers: although not strenuous, the area is very open and the winds can be biting, make sure you have plenty of layers a hat and gloves.
Food & drink
Please ensure you have plenty of water with you, you may also want to bring a flask of coffee. THERE IS NOWHERE TO BUY FOOD ON THE ROUTE so please bring a packed lunch and plenty of snacks to keep you going.
