Following the waterways of the industrial revolution this walk provides a mix of industrial urban landscapes, open greenbelt and nature reserves. The walk is 15.5km, pretty flat and even includes a pub stop on the way. We'll head out from the City Centre using only towpaths and bridleways to reach Didsbury where we'll return to the start using the Metrolink tram.
What to bring
Boots: A decent pair of waterproof hiking boots are essential, although the canal towpaths are straightforward it may be boggy in places.

Layers: although not strenuous, the area is very open and the winds can be biting, make sure you have plenty of layers a hat and gloves.
