Lancing to Shoreham Stroll and swim

Join the Outdoorlads for an easy coastal stroll with optional (weather permitting) swim at Lancing Beach. We will meet at Lancing Beach, which is easily accessible by coastal bus routes from Littlehampton, Worthing, Shoreham-by-Sea and Brighton. Lancing also has a train station served by trains stopping along the Southern Coastal line and is also on the London Victoria mainline to Littlehampton via Hove.
Whilst we will be meeting at 6.30pm, the hope is that the weather and tide will favour a dip in the sea for those who are keen. So we will likely chill on the beach for half an hour, and start walking towards Shoreham around 7pm. We will reach the Longshore pub within the hour, and stay there to eat, drink, and socialise. From there, it is a short 15 minute walk via the Shoreham houseboats on the River Adur, before arriving at our end point in the heart of Shoreham-by-Sea. There are buses and trains aplenty back to the start point, or home.
What to bring
We will be walking on tarmac paths so normal comfy shoes are fine. Please being water to keep hydrated. If you are likely to swim, please bring swimwear and a towel.
Food & drink
We will be stopping for food at The Longshore, Shoreham-by-Sea (longshorepubshoreham.co.uk). If you don't wish to buy a pub meal, please ensure you have eaten beforehand (unless you are a very late diner!)
