Lake District Activity Week - 2 nights camping
10 people attending
0 places left
4 people waitlisted
This is camping for just the Friday and Saturday nights of the Lakes Activity Week. The full event, arriving on Tuesday for five nights, is available on a separate event page, here.
This is an amazing location surrounded by some of the most famous mountains in the Lake District great for walking, climbing, & mountain biking. There is a tarn within walking distance and we have links with a local watersports centre around a 30min drive away.
Due to the type of event we won't be listing the majority of events before the event as we don't know the weather, leaders available or skill set of people available that day. Leaders will write their events on a whiteboard during the week so you'll be able to see meeting times, location and type of event that way (example in the pictures). Tried and tested and this method works; just means we can make the most of what's possible on the day.
You don't have to camp with us to take part; other options including hostel and a hostel on the same road are available, and full members are welcome to join us for the daytime events.
Booking Information: The campsite have not yet set their prices for 2022, but a price increase is expected. This makes it difficult for us to know what to charge you, a year in advance - but we know people like to book this event early! Therefore, you can sign up to this event now without making payment, and once we know what the price will be, we will invoice you, giving you a month to pay. If payment has not been received by the invoice due date, we'll assume that you no longer wish to attend and will cancel your place. In 2021, the event price was £25 for full members, so it will be in excess of that. PAYG prices will be higher.

Food & drink
There are several pubs within walking distance but in 2021 they were really struggling, hopefully, things will be better in 2022 but make sure you have emergencies supplies or are willing to drive.
There is a Co-op about a 5-10 min drive away and Ambleside is 20mins away.
The shop sells coffee and bacon butties etc aswell as things to make a basic camp meal.
