Fancy a more challenging, scenic walk in the West Midlands? Join Chris (chrisblakeref) on a 14 mile walk along the banks of the River Severn. After leaving Kidderminster the walk will take you alongside the railway, whilst enjoying lovely views of the river as well.
The walk will start at 10.30 prompt from outside the Kidderminster Severn Valley Railway station just across the car park from the main station. There will be a lunch stop at the halfway point where there will be the opportunity to purchase food (most likely to be in Arley) if you haven't brought a pack up with you. Depending on progress we may also stop for a pint in Highley.
We will finish the walk at Hampton Loade station and a train back at about 16.20 train. For a single on the steam train it will cost £14 each for an adult ticket, £13 for seniors. Drinks can be bought on-board or there is the option to go to the King & Castle at Kidderminster station when we return. We are due back into Kidderminster at 5.25.
Please note: this walk is 14 miles in length and will be pacey. Afterall, there is a train to catch ;) After Bewdley the walk is fairly flat along the banks of the river. If you have any questions please let me know.
