Kentish North Downs from Wye (48 km) Road cycle

A perfect ride for early summer, through the lanes of the North Downs of Kent. We will start in Wye, and head west climbing steadily to reach the highest point of the ride at Charing Hill after about 15 km. We'll descend through small lanes and wooded valleys and orchards to the very fine half-timbered village of Chilham. We will then have a final climb through coppiced woodland to Sole Street, and descend back to Wye. This will be a glorious ride if we are lucky with the weather.
This is ride 10 in Nick Cotton's Cycle Tours of Kent and East Sussex.
What to bring
A helmet is mandatory and must be worn while riding at all times, and anyone without one will not be permitted to start.
You must have a road bike to join this event.
Please also ensure you bring: spare tube; pump; puncture repair kit; and wet weather gear.
Food & drink
