Leeds Pride Group “The Hills have Gays” and Outdoorlads are joining up for a fun day hike from Hebden Bridge to Todmorden taking in the impressive erection of Stoodley Pike with some fine views guaranteed come rain or shine!
We will be meeting for our joint walk at Hebden Bridge Train Station at mid-day before heading up to the moorlands towards Cock Hill where the massive obelisk of Stoodley Pike starts to loom on the horizon.
As we reach the Pike we can admire the beautiful Calderdale valley stretching out, with wind farms in the distance. To get even more height we will climb into the dark heart of Stoodley Pike to savior the views.
Then on the spine of Pennine Way we’ll saunter to the majestic Gaddings Dam where the beach beckons and for the brave – a dip in this stunning reservoir.
Finally we’ll hike down to Todmorden for a well earned pint before catching the train back to Hebden Bridge or back to your home!

What to bring
A good pair of walking boots is essential and waterproofs in case of rain.
It may be cold on the top of the hills so an extra fleece would be wise.

Bring packed lunch and plenty of drinks
