This is a LINEAR walk, approximately 11 miles in length.
We start from Knebworth railway station. Heading east we pass through the pretty village of Old Knebworth and through the grounds of the famous Knebworth House.
Heading south, we meander through the Herts countryside taking in some beautiful views and villages (including Ayot St Lawrence and its majestic ruined medieval church) before approaching Welwyn Garden City via the Ayot Greenway (a disused railway line).
The walk will finish at Welwyn Garden City railway station at approximately 17:00.
For those returning to London, trains depart for Kings Cross (via Finsbury Park for easy underground connections). at 16:55 and 17:25. Those arriving by car can catch a northbound train back to Knebworth (at 17:26).
Please note that engineering works are planned for the region on weekends in March and April. At the time of posting the event, there are no engineering works which will impact on the event, but in the event that changes, the event may be postponed.
