Guided kayak tour on Loch Lomond

Meeting at Luss at Loch Lomond, we'll begin our kayak tour across the loch, to Inchconnachan - which is also known as Wallaby Island. Why? Because it contains Scotland's only wild wallaby population. We'll then visit the other smaller islands, where we'll see various ruins.
This event is fully facilitated by qualified and insured instructors, and kayak and buoyancy aid are included. If you'd like a wetsuit, this is available to rent from the venue for £5, but it really isn't necessary.
Time - the kayaking starts at 10:00 prompt. Please arrive 30 mins before so we can do paperwork and setup. Any time beyond this will eat into everyone's kayaking time.
Afternoon events - there will be the choice of a hill walk or cycle ride in the afternoon, also starting at Luss.
Kayak availability - as OutdoorLads must pay the venue in advance, numbers are limited, but if you would like to join, please add to the waiting list, and the venue is likely to be able to accept more spaces (we just need to pay for them!)
Kayaks are single kayaks, however, twin kayaks are available for about £10 more, which you can split with your friend - if you would like to book a twin kayak on this event, please message Joseph to arrange.
Loch Lomond
Loch Lomond is 23 miles long and 4 miles across at its broadest point. This large expanse of water is interspersed with picturesque and mysterious islands, which boast a wealth of history, and the surrounding scenery provides magnificent views in every direction. No visit here would be complete without taking to the water.

IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement
You MUST complete a Participation Statement, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.
Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms, even if they are extremely mild, or who has recently tested positive for Covid-19, is asked not to attend.

What to bring
Swimming shorts, tshirt, and light waterproof jacket.
It can get a little windy on the loch, so something to keep the breeze off will be good. While you probably won't fall in, it may rain, so bring something you don't mind getting wet.
This is Scotland, with notoriously variable weather, so I'd be inclined to bring a few layers in your backpack.
If you want a wetsuit, the venue hires them for £5 cash on the day.
Food & drink
A bottle of water for when out on the kayaks.
We will have something to eat at a local pub afterwards.
