Decent distance with a moderate amount of ascent throughout the morning.

This is one of my favourite walks in the peak district; stunning and enjoyable in any weather (though ideally it'll be dry!).

We'll begin our route at Grindleford station cafe and head up Padley Gorge, round to Suprise View and on to Stanage Edge for lunch. After lunch we'll meander back via Burbage Rocks and the Longshaw Estate cafe before descending Padley Gorge.

We'll take a decent pace as there is a reasonable distance of around 20km to cover with roughly 500m of ascent spread mostly throughout the first half of the day. Likely to take over 6 hours including cafe stop.

It is often cold and windy on "the edge" so please bring warm clothing.
