Glencoe Independent Hostel - 3 Nights

October in the West Highlands can be quite a spectacular time (if the weather plays ball!).  With the tourist season winding down for the year, but before the winter kicks in, we are planning to get out more to explore one of the best known areas of Scotland - Glencoe.

Glencoe is known around the world for it's spectacular mountain environment, and has some of the most photographed landscapes around.  The eastern end of the glen having the instantly recognisable Buachaille Etive Mor rearing up from the edge of Rannoch Moor, the Three Sisters on the southern side of the glen and the glen is backed by Aonach Eagach - one of the most challenging ridge walks in the UK.  And if this isn't enough there are many other mountains in the locality, with the Mamores being the closest range if you're looking to really get away from those tourists that are still about!

And if that is all too much excitement we can end the day by chilling at the local pub - The Clachaig - which has a history and reputation of its own.
