During the late spring and summer months we're planning a series of eight evening rides in conjunction with Out Velo - a recently launched national LGBTQ+ road cycling club. These will start in Glasgow and cover all points of the compass. Distances will typically be around 30 miles and should take around 2.5 - 3 hours. There will be a maximum of twelve participants on each ride with six spaces allocated to each of ODL and Out Velo.

For the second of these rides we will head south-east, climbing up through Kings Park and Fernhill towards Cathkin Braes, from where we can enjoy a panoramic view of the city if conditions are clear. We'll then continue on minor roads along the northern edge of East Kilbride towards Blantyre, the birthplace of the explorer and missionary, David Livingstone, before crossing the River Clyde on the footbridge named after him. Our return route will take us along the Sustrans cycle route through Uddingston, Newton and along the Clyde cycleway back into the city centre.

The rides will be run in accordance with ODL's policies and procedures and covered by ODL's insurance (through Cycling UK).
