13 miles (22 km) with 840 metres of ascent.

Glas Tulaichean clocks in at 1051 metres (3448 feet) above sea level, and it's a wild, remote Munro.

Our walk starts at the Spittal of Glenshee, and we'll head up Gleann Taitneach, a beautiful glacier-scoured valley which narrows as we climb higher. We'll scramble up past a dramatic waterfall to the lonely Loch nan Eun, which is surrounded by mountains. From here, we follow a ridge south-west to the summit of Glas Tulaichean.

We'll descend a different way, dropping down into Glen Lochsie and walking out past the Victorian hunting lodge at (now a hotel) Dalmunzie.

This is a big day out in a wild, remote area. Be prepared for a few river crossings and be ready for a full day of walking across rough, steep terrain. Much of the walk is not on paths or tracks.
