Join us for a socially-distanced online quiz from the safety of your own home.

THE HEADLINES

Using Zoom we will come together to answer questions using Kahoot!, the online quizzing platform.

You will need 2 devices to play.  A device to access Zoom to hangout and see the questions a second device to access Kahoot! to play along and provide your answers.  These can be laptops, tablets or phones etc.

Meet at 7.15pm on Zoom

You’ll need to log in to https://zoom.us using the code you’ll been sent in advance.

The quiz will begin at 7.30pm.  Any Tech problems will hopefully have been ironed out by this time!

Each round will be played on Kahoot! https://kahoot.it/

You will be given a Kahoot! PIN for each round as we play along.

All we ask is that you keep the same name throughout as we'll be keeping a running total for each round.

THE LINK TO THE ZOOM CHAT WILL BE MESSAGED TO YOU ON THE DAY SO KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR IT

THE SMALL PRINT

Make sure that you can log onto Zoom on one of your devices (you may need to reset your browser), although we are starting at 7.15pm giving everyone 30 minutes before we start to get to grips with the Tech.

On your other device you will access Kahoot!.

We will screen share our screen into the Zoom chat so that you will be able to see the questions. You will answer the questions in Kahoot! on you second device.

Some of the questions are multiple choice and some you have to write in the answers.  Only you will see your answers.

You will still be able to see the other players in Zoom as we play along, although we prefer everyone to be muted while the rounds are being played to stop everyone hearing your answers.

Teams are welcome with a maximum of six players per team.  You can of course play individually.

If you are playing as a team (either together in your house or in different locations), only one of you will open the Kahoot! screen to answer with. Ideally, pick a captain to provide your answers.  All players will see the questions on the shared Zoom screen. Mute your mics and talk on your own video chat to answer your questions as a group, otherwiser we will all hear your chats.

Its important that you keep your same team names throughout so that we can keep track of your scores.

There is a countdown to show the time limit to answer each question.  The faster you answer the question, the more points you score.  Some rounds are faster than others.

Don't forget the booze.  It's not compulsory of course, but it might help.

Please don't be overwhelmed by the bullet points.  As long as you are in the Zoom group at 7.15pm all creases can be ironed out between us.

The quiz typically lasts until 9.00pm and there will be plenty of time for 'after-partying' on the Zoom link.
