Early Winter walk on the North Yorkshire Coast
2 people attending
13 places left
This is a linear walk of about 9 miles on a coastal stretch of the Cleveland Way. Charming fishing villages and fish and chips at the end await. The coastal views are excellent, if the weather plays ball!
There are plenty of ups and downs as we progress, and expect mud and be prepared for cold conditions on the exposed coast, especially if we have a (wintry) north or east wind.
We return to the start by bus.
All photos are taken by Rob Mitchell and used with permission.
Dogs. Dogs are very welcome on this walk, and are accepted for free on buses and trains. Dogs may not be allowed inside some eateries (e.g. for fish and chips!!).
IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement
You MUST complete a Participation Statement, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.
What to bring
You will need full waterproofs, hat and gloves. Waterproof boots are essential. Bring a few spare layers in a waterproof bag inside your rucksack. Don't underestimate the potential for cold and wind hill on the North Sea coast.
Food & drink
Bring a packed lunch, water and ideally a flask. Snacks for energy en route are a good idea. We will have the chance to get fish and chips after our walk.
