This 12.5km circular walk starts and finishes in the picturesque hamlet of Malmsmead, located in the Exmoor National Park on the border of Somerset and Devon.  The route follows the Doone Valley along Badgworthy Water up through Badgworthy Wood as far as the medieval settlement of Lacoma  before ascending and circling around across open moorland before dropping back down to Oare Church following the East Lyn tributary, Oare Water, back to Malmsmead.
