Thinking of going into hibernation now it's definitely winter? Don't!
Instead get out more and join me for a leisurely Saturday walk on the Malvern Hills to let the wind blow away some of the cobwebs.
Starting at Colwall Station we start with a gentle climb through the village of Evendine before tackling the short but steep ascent to Pinnacle Hill.
After an early lunch stop we will continue along the spine of the hills - the once fortified border between Worcestershire and Herefordshire - taking in the beautiful panoramic views as we head to the summit of the Worcestershire Beacon. On a clear day you can apparently see 13 counties!
We return to Upper Wyche for a warming cuppa and some cake then walk the last stretch back to the station.
What to bring
Wrap up warm and bring a windproof, waterproof jacket. Although the paths on the hills themselves are well-trodden and maintained, we'll be walking through a fair bit of mud so you'll need boots.
Food & drink
You'll need a light lunch and something to drink. A tea stop is included!
