Fancy staying in the middle of the Glenmore forest in the Cairngorm National Park surrounded by forests, Loch Morlich, Loch An Eilein and the Cairngorm mountain range?
Hillwalking, Monuntain Biking, Cross Country,forest cycling trails, running, kayaking and paddle boarding all on your doorstep!!,
Booking via OutdoorLads is the only way to camp at the site. 5 nights of camping and a contribution to communal expenses is included in the event cost (communal hiring of activities hall, welcome drink on the 1st evening at the event briefing, BBQ area hire, cost of charcoal, snacks and desserts for the BBQ) so you do NOT need to also sign up to the Multi activity event. Please bring your own drinks and food to cook on the BBQ.
The location is 1100ft high in the forest with great views and lots of different options on the doorstep without having to move your car! The closest rail way station is Aviemore (5 miles away) with several trains and buses links to Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Direct flights from London Gatwick and Bristol to Inverness airport only 30 mins drive away.
The actual activities will vary depending on the weather at the time but we already have a variety of different walks, mountain bike routes, forest cycles and running routes available. A short briefing each evening along with a message will be sent to all attendees so you’ll be able to see what’s on offer each day and to keep you updated of any changes! The meeting place for all events is outside the Wigwam kitchen.
On our 1st evening there will be a welcome drink, short event briefing & social in the activities hall and on Saturday a BBQ (Please bring your own food to cook on the BBQ) and an opportunity to socialise each evening in the communal kitchen & social space for campers (shown in the photos) and those staying in a camping pod - an ideal space when it’s raining!
Campervans are not permitted at Badaguish.

PLEASE NOTE : OutdoorLads will be sharing the site with other guests. No noise is permitted after 11pm and participants must respect the other guests staying on site. This is therefore a quiet camping event.

You MUST complete a Participation Statement, in addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.
What to bring
Recommended Kit List
In addition to what you need for the daytime activities, some reminders for what you'll need for camping:
Hand sanitiser and a face covering: whilst we are living with Covid-19, please bring your own to events to help keep everyone safe
Tent: make sure you know how to pitch it, even in bad weather or in the dark. Check you have all the poles, ropes and pegs. A 3 season tent is the minimum recommended level of protection.
Sleeping bag: one that provides adequate warmth, designed to go below the temperature that you expect
Sleeping mat: will keep you warmer and dryer
Waterproof bags: for spare, dry clothing
Food: search online for camping food that’s easy to cook and filling
Hot drinks: at least in cold weather
Cooking Equipment: check you have fuel and know how yours works
Eating equipment: mug, bowl or plate and cutlery
Washing up equipment: detergent, brush/scourer and tea towel
Wash kit: remember to include a towel, shower gel and shampoo
Torch: or easier still, a head torch
Food & drink
I’d recommend bringing all the food you require for the trip, however there is a small shop at Loch Morlich campsite and there is a Wigwam kitchen at Badaguish campers can use with limited cooking facilities!
Aldi, Tesco & M & S are available in Aviemore. There is also a farm shop & Deli at Rothiemurchus 3 miles from the campsite ideal for buying food for the BBQ.
Speyside Kitchen Cafe (on site at Badaguish) will be open each day offering fresh coffee, home baking and packed lunches available to purchase.
