Join me for an approx 10 mile leisurely return walk between Waterloo and Hightown, with the opportunity to see Sir Antony Gormley's modem sculpture, "Another Place" consisting of 100 cast iron figures facing towards the sea. The figures are modelled on the artist's own naked body.
This is an ideal walk for those who are new to OutdoorLads and want to try an event out as it's going to be a relaxed and leisurely walk. We are a friendly bunch so come join us for a stroll, a natter and a pint!
We will continue our way up the Sefton coastal path before making our way to Hightown where we will stop at The Hightown Hotel for a well earned drink.
Getting here by train: If you are traveling by train, the nearest stop is Waterloo Station. Our starting point is only 10 minutes walk away. Come out of Waterloo Station and turn left down South Road. Walk down to the end of South Road until you get to the junction between Mariners Crescent and Mariners Terrace.
Cross over the road and pass "Waterloo Place" cafe on your right. Turn left. The Centre will be five minutes ahead of you.
