BSC2018 Day Visit to Great Orme Mine & Conwy Castle (Saturday)

2 places left
A day out to see two exciting visitor attractions in North Wales. In the morning we'll take a trip to the Great Orme Mine and in the afternoon we'll explore Conwy Castle.
Dating back 4,000 years to the Bronze Age, the Great Orme Mines change our views about the ancient people of Britain and their civilized and structured society 2,000 years before the Roman invasion. Over the past 21 years mining engineers, cavers and archaeologists have been slowly uncovering more tunnels and large areas of the surface landscape to reveal what is now thought to be the largest Prehistoric mine, so far discovered in the World.
Built for Edward I, Conwy castle is amongst the finest surviving medieval fortifications in Britain. In a word, exceptional. You can’t fault it, from the grandeur of its high towers and curtain walls to its excellent state of preservation.
Entry to the mine is £7, and entry to the castle is £9.50. Make sure to bring this with you on the day!
