We'll be 'taming' the Tamar with this walk through the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Starting at one of the train stations in the Tamar Valley, we'll be heading across to the Tavy estuary and up through Hallowell and Hole Woods before crossing the Bere Ferrers Penisula to reach the Tamar valley itself.

We'll then follow the Tamar south, to circle back to the train station at Bere Ferrers.

The plan is to be back in Plymouth by 4pm so that we can then head to Pride in Plymouth, which is on the same day and have a social enjoying a few hours until it closes at 8pm.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome to join us on this event but we do ask the following:

  • Please appreciate the fact that not everyone is a dog owner or lover- especially when we stop to eat
  • Please ensure you adhere to the Countryside Code at all times - see (Keeping Dogs Under Effective Control)
  • Please be aware of the guidance from Dartmoor National Park on visiting with your dogs - esp as we'll be visiting during lambing season.

If your dog is uncontrolled and strays in open land frightening other animals or livestock, the leader is supported by the OutdoorLads board of trustees to ask you to leave the event as this is not acceptable behaviour.

IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement

You MUST complete a Participation Statementin addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.
