Offa's Dyke Part 1: Prestatyn to Dyserth

This is the first in a series of day walks along the Offa's Dyke Path - the idea is to eventually walk from the North Wales Coast to the border with England in stages, taking in some beautiful scenery en-route.
This particular walk starts in the seaside town of Prestatyn and begins with a steep ascent out of the town into the hills beyond. You'll need good stamina for the climb as well as a head for heights as the narrow path hugs the hillside! However, on a clear day you'll be rewarded with views all along the North Wales coast and towards Snowdonia, and in the other direction towards the Wirral and North West England. The Offa's Dyke Path continues over some farmland before we branch off in the direction of Dyserth where we'll stop to view its impressive waterfall. From Dyserth, we'll join the route of an old railway line back towards Prestatyn, taking a slight detour to climb up to the trig point at Graig Fawr from where there are more impressive views.
In total, the walk is about 8 miles.
