Walk through Myths and Legends on the Cornish Coast in an area that's just oozes Arthurian Romance.  If you're lucky, you might bump into your Knight in Shining Armour....

This is the Day 1 Event of the Tintagel Weekend.  Please click here to sign up to Day 2

This will be a relatively short walk of around 5 miles starting in Tintagel, then heading North East through Rocky Valley, where you can see some Bronze age rock carvings, before swinging onto the Coastal Path and walking west at a very leisurely pace back towards Tintagel.  Although it's a short walk, there is a lot of up and down following the coastal path - around 500m of ascent in total during the day.

Will walk back into Tintagel via the Castle and Merlins Cave so if you want, you can explore there. The castle is managed by English Heritage and it's around £9 for entry.

Staying for the Weekend?

There's a few of us who have booked for a weekend camping at the nearby Lakefield Campsite if you're looking for somewhere to stay.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome to join us on this event but we do ask the following:

  • Please appreciate the fact that not everyone is a dog owner or lover- especially when we stop to eat
  • Please ensure you adhere to the Countryside Code at all times - see (Keeping Dogs Under Effective Control)

If your dog is uncontrolled and strays in open land frightening other animals or livestock, the leader is supported by the OutdoorLads board of trustees to ask you to leave the event as this is not acceptable behaviour.

IMPORTANT! - Participation Statement

You MUST complete a Participation Statementin addition to booking your event space before attending an OutdoorLads event. You only need to complete this Participation Statement once, not for each event you attend.

Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms, even if they are extremely mild, or who has recently tested positive for Covid-19, is asked not to attend.
