mostly flat, distance less than 10 miles,

Come join us for a beautiful walk along the river Kelvin and the Allander water. We start at the mouth of the river Kelvin with it's award wining transport museum, walking though the parks of Kelvingrove, Botanic, Dawsholm, Maryhill and Lennox.

On our way we will cross the course of the Antonnine wall, the furthest north of the Roman era bounder walls.

We will be walking almost exclusively on off road paths about a 3rd of which are tarmac, 3rd good grit, the last 3rd dirt, which may be muddy if it has rained recently!

Although we are never far from population, this walk is in nature, we do not pass shops on route, until the end of the walk.

about 17km, will take us 4 hours plus breaks.

return trains to Glasgow and further east frequent from Milngavie station, where the walk ends (and the west highland way starts).

There is a social event later in city center.
